Summary of the AESOP doctoral workshop

On Saturday, July 8, the Faculty of Human Geography and Planning concluded a four-day doctoral workshop organized under the auspices of AESOP with the theme "From Challenges to Responses: Integrated Planning Approaches in Turbulent Times."

The event brought together young researchers from Austria, Belgium, China, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, India, Portugal, Serbia, the United States, Turkey, and the United Kingdom to develop their research skills under the supervision of mentors.

The workshop was filled with highly engaging discussions and presentations of diverse approaches to urban planning. Activities ranged from individual and group consultations of dissertations to training in preparing conference abstracts, applying to scientific journals, using various research methods and conducting scientific research.

Despite the unfavourable weather, the participants managed to take two research walks in Poznań, attend a concert on the Warta River, and hold a workshop on combining scientific work with personal life. The consensus opinion of the workshop was that it was an incredibly eventful, inspiring and developing meeting for both PhD students and mentors.
