The Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (AMU) carries out its fundamental and unchanging mission, which is to conduct research, educate students and new academic staff on the basis of research as well as on exercise its social responsibilities. The University is inherently associated with science practiced under unhampered freedom and the search for truth. We hereby present a publication dedicated to the subject of scientific research conducted at AMU.
Even more than in the past, the current strength and competitive advantage of our University arises from its research potential and scientific achievements, recognized and appreciated by the global scientific community. The potential of the University’s academic staff is of fundamental importance to its multidirectional development. We are very fortunate to have at AMU so many outstanding scholars and scientists who individually and along with their associates and students conduct research and create works leading to the recognition of their scientific achievements. The range of research interests is best reflected in the structure of the University. AMU has 15 faculties, 29 institutes, two interuniversity science centers and a network of interdisciplinary university centers. Excellent parametrization results of AMU faculties, the status of a Leading National Research Center, “Polish Nobel Prizes” and many other individual and collective achievements of our scholars and scientists testify to the high quality of our research.
