Structural Graph Theory Workshop
Co-organized by: Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Jagiellonian University and University of Warsaw
24-28 June 2019
From June 24 till 28, 2019 „Structural Graph Theory Workshop” took place at Gułtowy. The Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań organised the workshops in cooperation with Jagielloński and Warsaw Universities.
The event was supported financially by the European Research Council (ERC) grant No. 714704. Its aim was to share knowledge and konw-how as well as to solve open problems in the field of structural graph theory. 21 researchers took part in the workshops, including 11 scientists form Polish and 10 from European institutions such as University of Oxford, LaBRI Bordeaux, or TU Berlin.
Each day of the workshops began with a lecture on the latest research in the structural graph theory. The prelections were delivered by: Piotr Micek, Michał Pilipczuk, Marthe Bonamy, Gwenael Joret and Marcin Pilipczuk.
The remaining time was spent on solving 23 open problems, suggested by the workshops’ participants. It’s worth emphasizing that in many cases the scientists managed to make a significant progress towards solving the issues. Up till now, two scientific papers on research conducted during workshops have been published.
