Information for those studying at partner universities who wish to pursue a course at AMU

If you are studying at one of the Partner Universities and have completed...

  • the first year of first-cycle or joint master's studies
  • or the first semester of second-cycle studies

and you want to take part in the PoMost programme, read the Agreement on exchange student education between partner universities of the City of Poznań and then follow the steps below:

  1. Select the course of study and subject you wish to pursue at AMU. Information on study programmes and syllabuses can be found at www.sylabus.amu.edu.pl.
Please note: the programme does not include subjects delivered in the form of laboratory classes, workshops, field exercises, internships, foreign language classes and physical education classes!
  2. If you have any doubts or questions, contact the AMU PoMost Office: at pomostuam@amu.edu.pl.
  3. Submit an Application for eligibility for the PoMost Programme at your home University, together with the syllabus of the course you have chosen to study at AMU.
Please note: the application must be submitted at least four weeks before the start of the semester at the host University! See the schedule of the organisation of the academic year at AMU.
  4. The Dean or Head of Studies at your home University will decide on the form of recognition of the course to be taught at AMU (by § 6 of the Agreement on Exchangeable Student Education between Partner Universities of the City of Poznań).
  5. After approval at your home University, your application will be forwarded by the PoMost Office to AMU.
  6. The PoMost Office of your home University will inform you of the decision.
  7. If you qualify for the PoMost Programme, follow the rules set out in the Agreement.
  8. In case of a negative decision from AMU, you will receive a justification, which may include e.g. lack of available places in the group, specificity of the subject, failure to meet the prerequisites of the subject, an indication of a subject not included in the programme.
  9. Once you have obtained credit for the course (List of subjects passed within the PoMost Programme), confirm it at the AMU Student Office and then forward the document to your home university).
  10. Good luck!
