Pursuant to the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science  (English version here), Journal of Laws of 2018 item 1668, as amended, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Act’, students of all study modes may apply for financial aid, which includes:

  1. a need-based scholarship,
  2. a one-time grant,
  3. accommodation in a Student Dormitory.

The rules for awarding these scholarships are set out in separate regulations. Detailed information about the minister’s scholarship, including the procedure for submitting applications, eligibility rules as well as lists of recognized achievements and the method of their evaluation, are specified in the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 1 April 2019 on scholarships granted by the minister responsible for higher education and science for students and outstanding young scientists.
