Psychological Development and Support

At Our University, the unit in charge of helping students in situations of psychological and emotional difficulties is the AMU Psychological Development and Support.

AMU Psychological Development and Support offers a wide range of assistance in dealing with challenging situations in life on different levels through adaptation to a new university environment, relationships with others, and personal and family concerns.

Appointments vary from consultations, support programmed meetings, and crisis intervention to psychotherapy.

If you feel you have no idea how to solve a problem anymore, you don't know how to overcome difficulties, or you don't have the strength and motivation to act, please come to us.

Maria Ruta-Piosik psych MA will receive your call, and provide you with all the details regarding psychological support.

The AMU Psychological Development and Support Center is located in the building of the "Hanka" student house at Aleja Niepodległości 26., psychologist will meet you there.

Counselling sessions are kept strictly confidential and will NOT be disclosed to any third persons or University staff.

English-speaking specialists

Nadia Kruszyńska

PhD, clinical psychologist, psychotherapist

Graduated from Adami Mickiewicz University. She holds PhD in medical sciences at Poznan University of Medical Sciences.  Has over 15 years of experience as an academic teacher and researcher. Her educational work includes courses in clinical psychology, psychotherapy, doctor-patient communication and professional burnout prevention addressed to medicine and dentistry students. She leads the Counselling and Psychological Services Team of psychotherapists at PUMS. Transactional Analysis and Gestalt Psychotherapy provide a strong foundation for her psychotherapeutic work with clients. As a psychotherapist, she specializes in personality disorders, psychosomatic, stress-related disorders and crisis intervention.

MA, Alicja Dominiak

Psychologist, Psychotherapist 

She graduated in psychology from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (specialisations: Health and Illness Psychology and Clinical Sexology). She completed a 4-year psychotherapeutic training at the School of Transactional Analysis in Poznan. She is a member of the Polish Society of Transactional Analysis.
She gained her professional experience while working with people at risk of social exclusion at the Municipal Centre for Family Support in Poznan, where she conducts individual consultations and workshop groups. She is a member of a team of psychotherapists providing support to English-speaking students of the Poznan University of Medical Sciences. She has also cooperated with foundations working in the field of social rehabilitation of people with disabilities (Stowarzyszenie na Tak and Fundacja Aktywizacja).
At the Counselling Centre she provides individual psychological and psychotherapeutic consultations for English-speaking students and staff.
