Join us to celebrate Poznań's 770th birthday!
A colourful procession merged with an open-air spectacle, a joyful walk from Porta Posnania to Plac Kolegiacki (Collegiate Square) and a giant 770-kilo birthday cake... what? All of this and even more will await you on 23 April (Sunday)!
The festive procession will begin at 2 p.m. straight, after the "Przebudzenie Warty" [
Awakening of the River Warta] staging, starring the Asocjacja 2006 Theatre and the Brygada Pigmaliona.
Along the route of the parade, the history of the city will be presented by local off-site theatres and pupils and students from Poznań schools.
The highlight of the event and the "star of the show" will be a 770 kg cake, which will be waiting for all residents and guests at the Free Courtyard of Poznań City Hall. After all, what's a birthday party without a cake?
