The AMU Faculty of English extends a warm invitation to participate in the 9th edition of the international conference Young Linguists' Meeting in Poznan (YLMP 2025), which will be held on 16-18 May 2025. The conference has received honorary patronage from the AMU Rector, Prof. Bogumiła Kaniewska, PhD, and the Mayor of the City of Poznań. The upcoming edition of the conference is organised under the theme "Integrating AI and linguistics for the future of social interaction."
The conference features three plenary lectures along with various workshops and thematic sessions.
Plenary lectures:
- Susanne Brouwer (Radboud University): "Moral decision-making in socially interactive settings."
- Nicole Holliday (University of California, Berkeley): "Sociophonetic variation and human interaction with ‘AI’-based systems."

Workshop:

- Anna Jelec (Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań): "Why we write: A mildly unusual workshop on scientific writing."
- Kamil Kaźmierski (Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań): "Plotting vowels in R."
- Katarzyna Molek-Kozakowska (University of Opole & Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu): "How to write about ‘pathways to impact’ in European grant applications."
- Justyna Rogos-Hebda and Paulina Zagórska (Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań): "Historical linguist in online archives."
- Marcin Szczepański (Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań): "AI tools for language teachers and language learners."
Furthermore, as part of the YLMP Special Event, a socially relevant lecture will be given by Aleksandra Tomaszewska (Institute of Computer Science, Polish Academy of Sciences): "Corpus data for evidence-based research and sovereign AI."
