Her Magnificence, the Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Prof. Bogumiła Kaniewska, cordially invites the University community to the traditional New Year's Concert, which will be held on Sunday, 12 January 2025, at 6 p.m. in the University Auditorium.
The featured performers will be the University's artistic ensembles: the Adam Mickiewicz University Academic Choir conducted by Beata Bielski, the Adam Mickiewicz University Chamber Choir under the direction of Krzysztof Szydzisz and Joanna Piech-Sławecka, and the Adam Mickiewicz University Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Aleksander Gref.
The programme includes classical masterpieces such as waltzes, suites and chamber pieces, as well as, popular music repertoire compositions, including unforgettable songs by Queen or Michael Jackson.
For the second half of the concert, the audience will be introduced into a contemplative mood by the performance of the pastoral oratorio "Wołaniem wołam Cię" ("I'm calling you") written by Zbigniew Kozub to the touching lyrics of Ernest Bryll. The concert will be enriched by outstanding soloists, instrumental arrangements and emotional choral interpretations.
Invitations to the concert
Admission to the concert will only be possible with invitations and tickets. This year, a new seating reservation system will be available for a trial period. Invitations for senators were systemically mailed on 20 December, with the possibility of automatic confirmation of participation (for 1 or 2 seats) or cancellation. The deadline for confirmation of the invitation is midnight on 31 December. After this date, the system will disable the ability to make any changes.
Invitations for employees, retirees, doctoral students, postgraduates and students will be downloadable via the Seat Reservation System service accessible at srm.amu.edu.pl from 3 January (from 9:00 a.m.) to 14 January 2025 inclusive or until the allocated pool of seats is exhausted.
