On 25-29 August 2025, Poznań will host the European Crystallographic Meeting (ECM35) – a European crystallography congress co-organised by the AMU Faculty of Chemistry.

The programme includes a special lecture open to the general public: ‘Nobel Prize winner Max von Laue was a student in Poznań’ on Thursday, 28 August 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at III LO im. św. Jana Kantego, ul. Strzelecka 10, Poznań.
The lecture on the ‘Poznań’ era of Max von Laue – the discoverer of X-ray diffraction on crystals and the only Nobel Prize winner associated with Poznań, will be given by Prof. Andrzej B. Więckowski.
