Guest lecture 'Narrative Identity in Severe Mental Illness'

The Faculty of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences cordially invites you to a guest lecture on 'Narrative Identity in Severe Mental Illness' given by Dorothe Kirkegaard Thomsen. The event will be held on 22 November 2022, at 2:30 pm.

Dorthe Kirkegaard Thomsen works at the Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences at Aarhus University. She is a leading researcher in the field of narrative identity. She has published more than 60 scientific articles. In her latest book 'Storying mental illness and personal recovery' (Cambridge University Press, 2022), she and her co-authors presented analyses of more than 100 life stories told by people with serious mental illnesses and proposed a theoretical framework for understanding the interaction between narrative identity, mental illness and personal recovery.
