The AMU Department of Physics cordially invites you to the ISQI seminar on 'Driven superconducting/magnetic nanostructures', hosted by Prof Jamal Berakdar from the Institute of Physics, Martin-Luther University, Halle-Wittenberg, on 2 March at 15:00-16:00.
Abstract:
Properties of low-energy excitations of superconductors or magnetically ordered materials in confined geometries
differ significantly from the homogeneous, translationally invariant case. Also, the mutual proximity coupling between superconductors and magnetic materials can be affected by nanostructuring. Examples of how the linear and nonlinear electromagnetic response of superconductors and superconducting/magnetic heterostructures can be designed will be discussed and illustrated by numerical simulations.
More information on the seminar is available on the Institute of Spintronics and Quantum Information website.
