The Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology warmly invites you to the lecture by Prof. Riitta Oittinen (University of Tampere, Finland) entitled "The Fox and the Owl. Co-authoring a Picturebook", which will be held on Friday, 19 January, from 1:30 to 3.00 p.m., in room 327 of the Collegium Maius (Fredry 10).
During her lecture, Prof Oittinen will discuss her work on the picture book 'The Fox, the Owl and the Red Ball', co-written with Eliisa Pitkäsalo, for which she did the illustrations. The talk covers the process of creating the book from the beginning (including the creation of characters and scenes), co-authorship (from initial negotiations to joint work on the final verbal-visual version), intersemiotic translation and the specifics of picture book making.
Likewise, we will hear about relationships in creative work, as both co-authors are friends with each other.
The lecture will be held in English.
