The Ethnologists Student Research Group, Centre for Migration Studies at the Adam Mickiewicz University, and representatives of the Global Village project are pleased to invite you to monthly Migration Movie Nights.
At the first meeting, we will watch the Swiss documentary "Hippie Masala" from 2006, co-created by director Ulrich Grossenbacher and anthropologist Damaris Luthi. "Hippie Masala" tells about the phenomenon of migration among members of the hippie counterculture, with particular emphasis on migration to India. The creators tell the stories of hippie migrants from Italy, South Africa, Switzerland, Belgium, and the Netherlands. After the movie, we invite you to a discussion.
The event will take place on December 2 in the Burszta room at the Faculty of History of the Adam Mickiewicz University. This event is for free, no tickets required.
