The Faculty of Physics warmly invite you to another MTPR Seminar. This time prof. Maciej Lewenstein and Dr Reiko Yamada from the Quantum Optics Theory Group, ICFO-Institut de Ciències Fotòniques, The Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology, Barcelona, Spain, will deliver a speech on "Interpreting quantum randomness".
The event will be held on Wednesday, April 19, between 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.
For the last few years, Prof. Dr Maciej Lewenstein has been conducting an interdisciplinary research project in collaboration with Dr Reiko Yamada (composer and postdoctoral research fellow at ICFO). In this joint talk, they will discuss how the team has been attempting to produce sound timbres from the genuine quantum true randomness which so far culminated into a research paper, musical scores, record releasee and performance involving live musicians at Barcelona’s Sonar Festival, as well as their new project on sonification of Wigner Function.
More information about the event is available on the MTPR seminars website.
