“What can qualitative data analysis software do for you”
Abstract: Even though qualitative data analysis software (QDAS) packages have been around since the 1980s, many researchers still do not fully know how they can best be leveraged to support their work. This presentation and discussion will provide a comprehensive introduction to the variety of packages currently available. I will provide an overview of what QDAS packages can and cannot do to support research designs, illustrate how QDAS can serve as the “hub” for a digital qualitative research workflow, and share tips for how to select the best package to meet research needs. We will also discuss best practices for how to report the use of QDAS when sharing findings. Examples from ATLAS.ti software will be used throughout.
The lecture will be held on Zoom. Please register at https://forms.office.com/r/Fv3y3ebctC to receive the link to the online meeting.
