On 15-17 September 2023, the Faculty of Biology, jointly with the AMU Botanical Garden, is organising the XXII International Conference on Socotra.
This unique event brings together everyone concerned about the Socotra Archipelago, its biodiversity, myths, traditions, history and future.
The primary objective of the Conference is to present scientific research on Socotra and to discuss future research projects. This year's theme is the conservation of the endangered fauna and flora of Socotra.
The XXII International Socotra Conference is combined with the annual General Meeting of the Friends of Socotra (FOS), a charity set up to promote the sustainable use and conservation of the natural environment of the Socotra Archipelago.
The event is hosted by the Adam Mickiewicz University Botanical Garden in Poznan.
