On 20-21 April, the 2023 EUA Annual Conference was held at the Gdansk University of Technology, during which Her Magnificence the Rector, Prof. Bogumiła Kaniewska, represented the AMU in Poznań. The organiser of the event is currently the largest organisation representing European universities.
The meeting, attended by several hundred rectors, saw the election of a new President of the organisation, Prof. Josep M. Garrell of Universitat Ramon Llull in Barcelona. Members of the Board were also appointed, including a representative from Poland - Prof. Marcin Pałys, former rector of the University of Warsaw (this was the only re-election).
The selection was followed by the 2023 EUA Annual Conference 'We need to talk about the impact', at which Prof Bogumiła Kaniewska gave a lecture entitled 'The role of university leadership in delivering impact'.
