A university open to all

AMU has signed an agreement with the Snowdog company for the UAM GO app, supporting the accessibility of university campuses. The app is intended to make the university's campuses more accessible to students, staff and visitors.

"We are proud that AMU has decided to outsource this accessibility vision to us, and that our skills and experience are trusted by suck reputable organisation. It is a crucial step for higher education in Poland" - said Kuba Zwolinski, CEO of Snowdog.

  • The UAM GO app is part of Adam Mickiewicz University's broader mission, which includes:
  • Making the University more accessible to people with disabilities through various activities, including UAM GO
  • Implementation of the Rector's order on architectural, communication and information accessibility.
  • Training laboratory assistants and teaching and administrative staff, as well as developing tools to facilitate access to teaching materials and increase safety for people with disabilities.

"In developing the UAM GO mobile app, we will use the regulations of universal design. Our priority will be to ensure digital accessibility, which includes both good user experience (UX) and meeting WCAG requirements. The UAM GO project aligns perfectly with our vision of an open university, where all students, regardless of any limitations or disabilities, have equal access to education and growth opportunities" ~ Grzegorz Sadowski, Project Manager.

"Our expertise in mobile development, backend, frontend and digital accessibility made us the ideal partner for such a project. In particular, our knowledge and experience in digital accessibility will help us build a socially relevant app that will make studying in Poznań easier for many"~ added Bartek Mikołajczak, COO of Snowdog.
