AMU is launching a collaboration with two South Korean universities: Chonnam National University and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology.
The agreement opens the way for the development of comprehensive and long-term cooperation between the institutions. The document was signed on 14 July during the Poland-Korea Forum, coordinated by Mr Chang-Yang Lee, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of South Korea, and Mr Waldemar Buda, Minister of Development and Technology of Poland. This official event at the highest level, with the participation of the presidents of both countries, brought together hundreds of representatives from the diplomatic, scientific and business worlds.
In addition to the representatives of the above-mentioned universities, AMU Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Prof. Rafal Witkowski also met with officials from other South Korean universities, including a delegation from Kyungpook National University and Busan National University.
"AMU is an attractive partner for Korean universities and industry, as every year a group of Korean philology graduates leave the walls of our university and immediately find jobs in Korean companies investing in Poland or Polish companies operating in Korea. During the talks, all participants emphasised the need for further development of academic and scientific contacts and financial support for student exchange", says Prof. Rafał Witkowski.
