The latest Perspektywy Ranking of Higher Education Institutions and the U.S.News Best Global Universities 2024-2025 ranking have been published. In the latter, AMU has moved up from 7th place to 4th in the country compared to last year.
Out of over 2,000 scholars from all over the globe shortlisted for the U.S. News Best Global Universities ranking, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, was ranked 935th.
In this year's edition, 48 universities from Poland were included in the ranking. Jagiellonian University (ranked 391th in the world), the University of Warsaw (479th), The AGH University of Krakow (839th), the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań (935th) and the Warsaw University of Technology (946th) were ranked highest.
The U.S.News Best Global Universities 2024-2025 results for individual subjects were also published. AMU ranked highest, 123rd in the world, in Arts and Humanities (up from 229th place), followed by Geosciences - 424th place, Social Sciences and Public Health - 436th place, and Environment /Ecology - 439th place.
The ranking methodology was based on three groups of indicators - reputation, bibliometrics and academic excellence. AMU ranked the highest on the Regional Research Reputation Index - ranking.
According to the Perspektywy 2024 ranking of higher education institutions, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, is one of the three best universities in the country, following Warsaw University and Jagiellonian University! In the ranking of all higher education institutions, the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, was placed sixth. It was outranked by three technical universities: the Warsaw University of Technology, The AGH University of Krakow and the Gdansk University of Technology.
The 2024 Ranking of majors was also published, in which four subjects of the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, proved to be the best in the country. These are archaeology, English philology, Polish philology and tourism and recreation.
