Registration for foreign language courses
AMU Foreign Language Teaching Centre informs that on 24 September 2024 (Tuesday) at 9.00 a.m. on the website ul.amu.edu.pl token registration for foreign language courses for students of the second and third year of full-time first degree and long-cycle master's degree programmes will begin and will last until 10 October 2024 (Thursday) at midnight.
Token registration opens at the following times:
- Faculty of English - 9.00 a.m.
- Faculty of Biology - 9.30 a.m.
- Faculty of Chemistry - 10.00 a.m.
- Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology - 10.30 a.m.
- Faculty of Physics and Astronomy - 11.00 a.m.
- Faculty of History, Faculty of Archaeology, Faculty of Arts Studies - 11.30 a.m.
- Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science - noon
- Faculty of Geographical and Geological Sciences, Faculty of Human Geography and Planning - 12.30 p.m.
- Faculty of Political Sciences and Journalism - 1.00 p.m.
- Faculty of Anthropology and Cultural Studies, Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences ( PLEASE NOTE PSYCHOLOGY: only students from groups 23-ANG-B21-Z60 in the summer semester 23/24 register for courses, the rest will be prescribed for continuation of studies),
- Faculty of Sociology - 1.30 p.m.
- Faculty of Law and Administration - 2.00 p.m.
- Faculty of Educational Studies - 2.30 p.m.
- Faculty of Theology - 3.00 p.m.
Students of first-degree German philology (Faculty of Modern Languages and Literatures) do not participate in the registration - they will be enrolled in the groups for the winter semester 24/25 by the AMU Foreign Language Teaching Centre coordinator (only those who received a positive grade for the summer semester 23/24).
Course dates will be available on ul.amu.edu.pl no later than 23 September 2024.
Students (except the Faculty of English) will receive a token according to the following scheme (a token is granted if the student has a positive grade entered in the USOS system):
- a student who has passed an A2 level course in the summer term 2023/2024,
in the winter semester 2024/2025 will receive a token for level B1. - a student who has passed a language course at level B1 in the summer semester of 2023/2024,
in the winter semester of 2024/2025 will receive a token for level B21. - a student who has passed a language course at level B21 in the summer semester of 2023/2024,
in the winter semester 2024/2025 will receive a token for level B22. - a student who in the summer semester of 2023/2024 has passed a language course at level B22 has completed the general language course and will receive a token for the certification examination.
EXCEPTION: Students from a major that has had a double-major lecture course: Psychology - 2nd year receive a token according to the following scheme:
- a student who has completed a language course (received a passing grade) at B21/B22 level in the summer semester 2023/2024 (groups 23-ANG-B21-Z60 in 2024/SL) receives a token for the specialist language course.
Students from the Faculty of English receive a token per the following scheme (a token is granted if the student has a positive grade entered into the USOS system):
- a student who has passed the lecture course at A1 level in the summer semester of 2023/2024,
receives an A1 level token in the winter semester of 2024/2025. - a student who, in the summer semester of 2023/2024, has passed a language course at level A2,
receives an A2 level token in the winter semester of 2024/2025. - -a student who, in the summer semester of 2023/2024, passed a language course at level B1,
in the winter semester of 2024/2025 receives a token for level B1. - a student who, in the summer semester of 2023/2024, passed a language course at level B21,
receives a token for level B21 in the winter term of 2024/2025.
PLEASE NOTE:
Students who DO NOT REGISTER for a foreign language course during the registration period at ul.amu.edu.pl are required to submit an application for enrolment in a foreign language group to the AMU Foreign Language Teaching Centre. Based on the submitted application, the student will be enrolled by the USOS coordinator into the group in which there are FREE PLACES!
Registration for specialised language courses
AMU Foreign Language Teaching Centre hereby informs that on 27 September 2024 (Friday) at 9.00 a.m. on the website ul.amu.edu.pl token registration for specialised language courses for students of the first year of full-time second-cycle and long-cycle Master's degree programmes will begin. The enrollment will last until 10 October 2024 (Thursday) at midnight.
Token registration will begin at the following times:
- Faculty of English - 9.00 am
- Faculty of Biology - 9.30 a.m.
- Faculty of Chemistry - 10.00 a.m.
- Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology, Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science - 10.30 a.m.
- Faculty of Physics and Astronomy - 11.00 a.m.
- Faculty of History, Faculty of Arts and Sciences - 11.30 a.m.
- Faculty of Geographical and Geological Sciences, Faculty of Human Geography and Planning - noon.
- Faculty of Political Science and Journalism - 12.30 p.m. - for second-year students only (continuation of lectures from the previous academic year). First-year Master's students will begin specialist language courses in the summer semester.
- Faculty of Anthropology and Cultural Studies, Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences (only Psychology students starting the first semester of the specialist language will be registered. Other students will be enrolled in groups by the AMU Foreign Language Teaching Centre coordinator), Faculty of Sociology - 1.00 p.m.
- Faculty of Law and Administration - 1.30 p.m.
- Faculty of Theology - 2.00 p.m.
- Faculty of Modern Languages and Literatures - 2.30 p.m. - for the first year only. Second-year students of German Philology will be assigned to the same groups by the USOS coordinator.
Course schedules will be available on ul.amu.edu.pl no later than 26 September 2024.
First-year full-time second-cycle students receive a token for the specialist language LEK-SPEC-B2 and enrol in the language of their choice offered by the faculty. The specialist language course is taught at the B2+ level (except in the Faculty of English and the Faculty of Modern Languages and Literatures) - a follow-up to the course taught in the first year of full-time undergraduate studies.
Full-time students of the Law degree programme receive a token for the LEK-SPEC-B2 specialist language course:
- upon completion of the B2.2 language course in the summer semester of 2023/2024,
- upon successful completion of the specialist language course in the summer semester of 2023/2024 (registration for the second semester of the course),
- following completion of a general language course in the summer semester of 2023/2024 on the basis of an external certificate.
Full-cycle master's students majoring in Psychology receive a token for the LEK-SPEC-B2 specialist language course:
- upon successful completion in the summer semester 2023/2024 of the lecture course in group 23-ANG-B21-Z60,
- upon successful completion of a general language course in the summer semester of 2023/2024 on the basis of an external certificate.
PLEASE NOTE:
Students who DO NOT REGISTER for a specialised language course during the registration period at ul.amu.edu.pl are required to submit an application for enrolment in a foreign language group to the AMU Foreign Language Teaching Centre. Based on the application, the student will be enrolled by the USOS coordinator in the group in which there is FREE SPACE!
