Summary of training courses for AMU staff funded by NAWA

December 2022 marked the end of a series of training courses for AMU staff. The courses were funded by Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange NAWA as part of the Welcome to Poland programme, in the frame of the project called "WelPack - A package of activities to strengthen the hospitality potential towards foreigners at AMU".

The trainings were aimed at strengthening the competence of the university's staff for a more efficient and professional service to foreigners.

The following trainings were held as part of the project:

  • Conditions for studying foreigners in doctoral schools and "co-tutelle" doctoral dissertations - legal and practical aspects
  • Techniques for dealing with the aggression of a foreign student with elements of intercultural communication
  • Managing an international team in a crisis situation
  • Support a foreign student in a mental crisis of isolation/alienation/stress in the face of danger during pandemics, war and other emergencies, taking into account cultural differences
  • Legal aspects of legalization of residence of foreigners on the territory of the Republic of Poland - formal and practical issues
  • Preparation of joint and double degree programs

Thanks to these trainings, our staff is even better prepared to receive foreigners.

Welcome to Poland!
