Nicoletta Makowska-Zawierucha, PhD, has been awarded the National Champion in the third edition of the Frontiers Planet Prize! Now, a jury of 100 scientists has proceeded to the second round of voting to select three International Champions, each of whom will receive $1 million to advance and develop their groundbreaking research. The International Champions will be revealed at an awards ceremony in June 2025.

The Frontiers Planet Prize is intended to acknowledge the pursuit of solutions for a sustainable future.
Last year's National Champion was Prof. Michal Bogdziewicz of the AMU Faculty of Biology.
