In both cases, our University was ranked 401-600 in the world. In the overall ranking, AMU maintained its position of 801-1000 in the world, which positions us 5th in the country.
THE Impact Rankings is the only classification that evaluates universities through the lens of the implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals adopted by UN member states as part of the Transforming Our World: 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. 1406 universities from 106 countries were included in this year's classification.
The Sustainable Development Goals cover a wide range of challenges, primarily addressing the areas of poverty, hunger, health, education, gender equality, climate change, peace and social justice. They are a call for action in an international partnership. They are also an impetus for higher education, which, being responsible for the implementation of the third mission, undertakes work to achieve them.
The top three in the global ranking are Western Sydney University, Arizona State University (Temple) and Western University (Ontario).
