AMU is once again among the top Polish universities!

In this year's THE World University Rankings 2025, Adam Mickiewicz University maintained its previous position between 1001 and 1200 and fifth place in Poland. The university ranked highest in Research Environment (up from 505th place) at 472nd place.

The World University Rankings is one of the four most recognised university rankings that classify universities worldwide. This year, 2092 higher education institutions were included. The evaluation criteria for the ranking are based on five main areas: Teaching(Teaching), Research Environment (Research Environment), Research Quality (Research Quality), Internationalisation (International Outlook) and Industry (Industry).

AMU achieved the highest score in the Research Environment area - 472nd(up from 505th place), which consists of the following indicators: research reputation, research income, and research productivity.

In Poland, 44 universities were ranked in this year's edition of THE WUR. The highest places in the country were occupied by the Medical University of Wrocław (501-600), Jagiellonian University (601-800), Warsaw University (601-800) and the Medical University of Łódź (801-1000).

Internationally, 2092 universities were included in the latest measurement of THE World University Rankings 2025. The top-ranked universities were, respectively, the University of Oxford, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Harvard University.
