AMU representatives in the Polish delegation at APAIE.

Three years after its last stationary edition, the APAIE conference and expo, one of the key industry events for the higher education community, has returned to its original format.

This year's edition, held in Bangkok, Thailand, gathered more than 2,700 participants, covering nearly 70 countries. Its principal theme focused on a sustainable future.

Poland was represented by a delegation consisting of representatives from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, including its Director, Dr Dawid Kostecki, the Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Science
and Higher Education, Mr Przemysław Skrodzki, and representatives from seven universities from across the country. The AMU representative in the delegation was the Director of the International Relations Centre, Ms Joanna Barszcz.

For three days, delegates from Polish institutions of higher education had the opportunity to meet with present and potential partners, mainly from the Asian-Pacific region but also from America and Europe.

An essential part of the visit was a high-level encounter between the representatives and the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Kingdom of Thailand, Waldemar Dubaniowski, during which further possibilities for cooperation with the Asia-Pacific region in the field of science and higher education were discussed.

We hope that the meetings held within the framework of APAIE will be beneficial in the further growth of international collaboration and academic mobility.

APAIE (Asia Pacific Association for International Education) is an organisation that promotes international higher education in the Asia-Pacific region. The annual APAIE Conference brings together nearly 2,000 academics from around the world. This increased attendance reflects an interest in the region and recognition of the critical role of Asia Pacific in international education.
