Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan (AMU) has risen to 277th place in the GreenMetric 2024 World University Rankings and maintained its third position among Polish universities!
AMU received 7,700 points in the ranking (600 more than a year ago). Despite an increased number of universities worldwide participating in the ranking from 1,183 to 1,477 (by 294) over the year, AMU managed to achieve a higher rank by 62 places compared to the previous year!
The UI GreenMetric World University Rankings is a sustainability summary considering criteria linked to Setting & Infrastructure, Energy & Climate Change, Waste, Water, Transportation, Education & Research.
AMU recorded the highest increase of 450 points within Energy & Climate Change.
The three highest-ranked universities in the world according to the UI Green Metric ranking are Wageningen University & Research (Netherlands), Nottingham Trent University (UK) and the University of Groningen (Netherlands).
From Poland, 15 universities participated in the ranking. Domestically, AMU was outranked by the Gdańsk University of Technology and the Rzeszów-based University of Information Technology and Management, ranked 199 and 242, respectively, in the world.
