Five scientists from Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, are among the winners of the Minister of Science Award. The ceremony was held on 18 February in the Auditorium of the Warsaw University of Technology during the Polish Science Gala.
The Gala was part of the celebration of the Polish Science Day (19 February). At the ceremony, the Minister of Science, Dariusz Wieczorek, presented awards to the most distinguished representatives of the scientific and academic community. Honours were granted in five categories: for significant achievements in scientific, teaching, implementation, organisational and overall achievements.
The winners from the Adam Mickiewicz University included:
- Prof. Magdalena Arasimowicz-Jelonek from the Faculty of Biology (for scientific activity),
- Prof. Jakub Rybka from the Centre for Advanced Technologies (for implementation activities),
- Prof. Karol Bartkiewicz from the Faculty of Physics (for teaching activities),
- Dr Andrzej Wójtowicz from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science (for teaching activities),
- Prof. Krzysztof Sobczak from the Faculty of Biology (for lifetime achievement).
