AMU with positive evaluation in the mid-term review of the 'Excellence Initiative - Research University' programme

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has announced the results of the mid-term evaluation of the Excellence Initiative - Research University (IDUB) programme. The ten universities awarded in the first IDUB competition were evaluated. The team of experts positively evaluated Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań.

The mid-term evaluation, conducted in 2023, concerned the implementation of plans to raise the quality level of scientific activity and education by the universities participating in the first edition of the Excellence Initiative - Research University (IDUB) programme. The evaluation consisted of: assessments of the reports prepared by the HEIs, assessments by a team of experts after visits to the HEIs' sites, and final assessments, provided to the HEIs after adoption by the Minister of Science. All HEIs participating in the programme were evaluated positively.

"Excellence Initiative - Research University" is a programme aimed at identifying and supporting universities capable of competing effectively with the best academic centres in Europe and globally. Among the 20 best universities in Poland eligible to participate in the competition, only ten have been selected to receive a special subsidy in the years 2020-2026.
