B-Day in Botanical Garden

On 6-8 August 2021 the Botanical Garden of Adam Mickiewicz University will be celebrating the Great Bee Day.

As part of this event, there will be two exhibitions in AMU Botanical Garden. The exhibition "The amazing life of bees... and more" brings the rich world of bees and other species of pollinating insects closer. Its aim is to show the biodiversity and intricacies of the bee world, to encourage Poznań citizens to get involved in activities supporting these insects.

The second exhibition is a summary of three years of activities under the "Poznań for Bees" programme and presents children's works awarded in an art competition.

Moreover, the AMU Botanic Garden has prepared a field game which will guide visitors through the collections gathered, uncovering the mysteries of the relationships between plants and pollinating insects, and showing the extraordinary diversity of this group of organisms. It will be an opportunity to stop for a moment and lean over these small creatures, whose role in ecosystems and in our lives is disproportionately large.

On Friday, 6 August, the Picnic Glade will also host a stand with games for children.
