On 24 April 2023, the BESTStudentCAMP 2023 was announced (IDUB call no. 105, task 39), which aims to support students at the initial stage of their studies by equipping them with research skills and soft competencies useful for their academic work.
Students in their first or second year of Bachelor's or Unified Master's studies who were laureates or finalists of national subject olympiads or who obtained the best results from the baccalaureate exam at the extended level (95% or more) and/or the best results from a foreign baccalaureate exam (95% or more when converted to the Polish baccalaureate) are eligible to participate in the competition.
Participants of previous editions of the BESTStudentGRANT competitions (competition 032; competition 079) and the 2nd edition of the ADVANCEDBestStudentGRANT contest (competition 075) can apply.
The 2023 Summer School BESTStudentCAMP will be held at the AMU Palace and Park Complex in Gułtowy from 18-22 September 2023.
The Summer School will include activities on:
- presentation skills, including the creation of PowerPoint presentations,
- application skills for student grants, including the 'Pearls of Science',
- voice emission and its impact on professional image,
- academic etiquette,
- sufficient thinking and acting skills.
Courses will be conducted in the form of workshops and led by qualified academic staff from AMU and beyond. Participants of the Summer School may also expect a rich cultural and relaxation programme.
The Selection Committee will choose the participants on the basis of a cover letter (competition application) from among candidates who have not yet participated in the BESTStudentCAMP Summer School.

Participation in the BESTStudentCAMP is FREE of charge.
The BESTStudentCamp is organised within the framework of the 'Excellence initiative - Research University' (ID-UB).
