Dr Artur Musbach visiting the Faculty of Human Geography and Planning

On Monday, 16 October, the Faculty of Human Geography and Planning hosted Dr Artur Musbach, a research associate at the Intelligent Mobility Design Centre at the Royal College of Art in London.

The meeting was an opportunity to exchange experiences in the field of mobility research and automotive development with a team from the Department of Economic Geography (Prof Tadeusz Stryjakiewicz, Prof Robert Kudłak, Dr Bartłomiej Kołsut, Prof Michał Męczyński and MA Bartosz Doczeczko), who presented the results of their research published, among others, in the book The Economic Geography of the Car Market.

The Automobile Revolution in an Emerging Economy (Routledge Publishing House). The example of the automotive revolution in Poland was the foundation for a broader discussion on the international trade in second-hand cars, its impact on the primary market and how motoring and cars affect the environment and the health of the inhabitants of urban regions.

The meeting was also an opportunity to discuss potential future fields of scientific cooperation.
