Dr Marcello Giusto from the AMU Faculty of Modern Languages and Literatures won 1st place in the "Academic Teacher" category in the Greater Poland Voivodeship in the "Głos Wielkopolski' Education Poll.
The award ceremony was held on 12 February this year. Readers' votes selected the winners from among hundreds of entries from across the region.
The Educational Poll organised by Głos Wielkopolski is one of the most recognisable regional awards in the education sector. The competition was a two-stage process – the first round selected winners in individual municipalities. Then the best of them were selected for the entire voivodeship.
Dr Giusto is a highly regarded lecturer and researcher in linguistics, foreign language teaching and Italian culture. In his academic and teaching role, he conducts classes in practical Italian language learning, phonetics, phonology, and translation. His commitment to education and openness to the students' needs have been widely recognised within and outside the academic community.
