Enhancing Digital Competencies

From 27 to 31 May, a workshop entitled 'Enhancing Digital Competencies' in the framework of the DigiUni project was held at Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, for its Ukrainian partners.

The training comprised three modules designed to provide participants with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and exchange experiences regarding the integration of digital skills in the international classroom, enhancing students' digital competencies through the development of practical strategies and tools, improving educational experiences and fostering cooperation with European Union structures and systems, offering insights into its potential impact on teaching and learning practices, creating interesting educational materials and using modern tools for remote teaching and learning.

The idea of the workshop was also to share the experiences of the EPICUR consortium with creating online courses and learning platforms.

The event was attended by the representatives of 10 Ukrainian universities and officials from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Association of IT Professionals, i.e.:

  • National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy,
  • Sumy State University,
  • Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics,
  • Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University,
  • Ukrainian Catholic University,
  • National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute",
  • Kherson State University,
  • Mariupol State University,
  • Ivan Franko National University of Lviv,
  • Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine,
  • Ukrainian association of IT professionals.

The Digital University - Open Ukrainian Initiative (DigiUni), of which AMU is a proud partner, is a project aiming to express European solidarity in a bottom-up, inter-institutional and results-oriented manner in conjunction with various levels of political decision-making and to contribute to the gradual synchronisation of Ukrainian and European universities in line with the values, standards and priorities of the European Higher Education Area and view of Ukraine's future accession to the European Union (EU). All consortium members are eager to contribute to creating a high-performance digital education ecosystem of all Ukrainian universities, ensuring the continuity and efficiency of their academic activities to continue attracting all learners and enhancing their employability in the knowledge economy.
