Representatives of the nine partner universities of the European University Alliance EPICUR have arrived in Poznań. During two days (7,8 November) at the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, a member of the alliance, they discuss topics including the consortium's sustainability and priorities, global education strategy, EPICUR governance evaluation, jointly with its committees and funding.
The meeting is held on the 5th anniversary of the alliance launch - "Exactly 5 years ago, we were all in Brussels and started our adventure. Today (7 November), we are going to have a birthday cake," comments the AMU Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Professor Rafał Witkowski. - "We have reached a point where several dozen people at each university are involved in EPICUR work, and the work of these several dozen people at each university needs to be linked and synchronised somehow. We have already tested numerous solutions and wish to select the ones that are most beneficial and most fruitful for us and focus on them. The most challenging task for us is to create a list of priority tasks." - Professor Witkowski adds. In his opinion, the essential tasks are educational and joint research offers development.
