The European Central Bank invites future and current female master's students in economics, statistics, computer science and engineering sciences to apply for a scholarship of €10,000. Applications can be submitted until 15 May.
The ECB Scholarship for Women is an initiative supporting female master's students in economics, statistics, computer science and engineering sciences from low-income families.
This year, 15 female scholarship recipients will be selected. The scholarship consists of:
- EUR 10,000,
- a study visit to the European Central Bank, including special events, e.g. a meeting with representatives of the Women in Leadership Network of the ECB,
- acquiring knowledge of the ECB's central banking and banking supervision activities,
- meeting other female Fellows and joining the Fellowship alumni community,
- advice and mentoring support from an ECB economist or expert in banking supervision, statistics, engineering sciences or computer science.
To qualify for the programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Being a citizen of one of the EU countries,
- Undertaken or planned master's degree in economics, statistics, engineering sciences or computer science at a
- Funding shortfalls that may prevent the student from continuing his/her studies,
- Completed a first degree (i.e. Bachelor's degree) with excellent results.
Applications can be received until 15 May this year.
