On 14 May 2024, the European Commission decided to renew the HR Excellence in Research award for Adam Mickiewicz University for a further three-year period.
An audit by European Commission experts was conducted in November 2023. The meetings were attended by the Rector, Prof. Bogumiła Kaniewska, the Vice- Rectors who are members of the Steering Committee: Prof. Katarzyna Dziubalska-Kołaczyk, Prof. Tadeusz Wallas and Prof. Przemysław Wojtaszek, members of the working group, academic teachers and doctoral students representing all levels of scientific careers (R1-R4) and representatives of administrative units supporting researchers.
The University's activities were analysed in four main areas:
- ethical and professional aspects
- working conditions and social security
- recruitment and selection
- training and development
The renewal of the distinction means that the AMU can continue to count itself among the top-ranked universities ensuring stimulating and favourable working conditions for female and male researchers. We are very proud of the distinction, but also aware of how many measures need to be continuously improved.
