European Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation

E.MA is a unique master's program that allows students to combine human rights theory with practice. The project has been running for more than 20 years in Venice and at 43 universities in the EU, UK and Switzerland. Thanks to this, the E.MA offers the opportunity to learn about human rights, democratic processes and international relations from the perspective of law, politics, history, anthropology and philosophy.

During the first semester held in Venice, students take courses taught by prominent scholars, experts and officials from international organizations such as the UN, OSCE, Council of Europe and the European Union.

The E.MA degree program culminates in the globally exceptional European Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democratization, currently awarded jointly by seven universities.

The best graduates can expect prestigious internships at the office of the Council of the European Union and European Commission delegations to the UN in Geneva and New York. Other outstanding laureates of the E.MA program are offered internships at institutions of the European Union, the Council of Europe, the OSCE and prominent international NGOs.

The E.MA program is organized by the Global Campus of Human Rights. In Poland, the project is coordinated by Adam Mickiewicz University in cooperation with the Poznan Human Rights Center.

Detailed information about the project and the application form can be found on the E.MA website and GC.
