The University Library has launched a month-long test access to Writefull from March 4th to April 7th 2024. It is the third test of the programme in the last four years, which was launched at the request of AMU teachers and researchers.
The programme enables the proofreading of academic texts in English. The Writefull is a tool specifically designed for academics and university students. It suggests corrections to sentence structure in scientific documents, missing citation elements and proposes discipline-specific vocabulary, particularly essential for successful publication in international journals.
As part of the trial, we have access to Writefull's full premium suite of tools. Writefull for Word can be downloaded from the Writefull website. There are three plug-ins: Writefull for Microsoft Word, Writefull for Office 365 online, and Writefull for Overleaf.
The Writefull add-in can be downloaded for Word directly from the Writefull website.
To start using the Writefull add-on with access to the tested premium version in Word, you need to create a personal account for an AMU student or staff member using a university email address with a password of your choice (NOT institutional).
To open an account, select the 'Login' button in Word on the toolbar. Conversely, to open a registration/login in Writefull in Word, click "Don't have an account?" enter your email address and password, and then click "Register". In the next step, confirm your registration in an email to verify the newly created account. Once you have created your account and entered your details, click "Login".
