On Thursday, 28 November, a Homini Vere Academico medal award ceremony was held for Prof Roman Hauser of the AMU Faculty of Law and Administration, AMU Vice-Rector in the years 1990-1992.
"Professor, today I extend my appreciation and sincere gratitude for the years of your research, teaching and organisational activities, for your commitment to your work and great passion," said Professor Bogumiła Kaniewska, the AMU Rector, during the event. - "You remain an authority for us as an academic teacher who tirelessly cares about the reliable development of future generations, an excellent scientist, but most of all as a man with a big heart and incredible modesty," added the Rector.
Professor Roman Hauser is a graduate of the AMU Faculty of Law and Administration (he received a PhD in law in 1979, a habilitation degree in 1988, and in 2009 he was awarded the title of Professor of Legal Sciences). He was Vice-Rector of the Adam Mickiewicz University in 1990-1992, President of the Supreme Administrative Court for many years, Chairman of the National Council of the Judiciary, Member of the Central Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles for two terms. Prof. Roman Hauser is a co-author of theoretical principles and co-author of the reform of the administrative judiciary, introducing a two-instance model of court-administrative proceedings in Poland. He is also the author of several hundred scientific studies (monographs, commentaries, handbooks, articles, glosses and reviews) and more than 200 publications of administrative and court-administrative proceedings and enforcement proceedings in administration.
The Homini Vere Academico Medal recognises impressive scientific and teaching achievements. It is granted to an individual "fulfilling all the criteria that can be placed on a truly academic person".
