Inauguration of the new academic year at Collegium Polonicum in Słubice

On 19 October, the new academic year was inaugurated in the auditorium of Collegium Polonicum in Słubice.

The ceremony was attended by the Rector of the Adam Mickiewicz University, Prof. Bogumiła Kaniewska, Vice Rector of Europa-Universität Viadrina, Prof. Dagmara Jajeśniak-Quast, representatives of the academic community of both partner universities, numerous guests, local government representatives and students of the universities.

At the ceremony, the Rector introduced the assembled students to Prof. Justyna Krauze-Pierz, who will serve as the Rector's Plenipotentiary for Teaching at the CP starting from 1 November.

The inaugural lecture entitled. "Half a century of work for dialogue. The Joint Polish-German Textbook Commission (UNESCO) - history and near future" was delivered by Prof. Violetta Julkowska (Faculty of History, Adam Mickiewicz University), while musical accompaniment featured the Adoramus choir conducted by Dr Barbara Weiser-Lady.
