European Comission would like to invite you to a dedicated webinar next Monday 7 February, 13:30 – 15:00 to present and discuss some key initiatives proposed in the higher education package adopted on 18 January.

For further background, we suggest a reading of the European strategy for universities and the Proposal for Council Recommendation on building bridges for effective European higher education cooperation.
European Commission is now working in full speed with the Member States in the Council of the European Union on Council Conclusions on the European strategy for universities, as well as on the adoption of the Council Recommendation.
In this context, they think it is important to present and discuss with you the different steps envisaged towards the development of two key initiatives by 2024: a joint European degree and a legal statute for alliances of higher education institutions. They are the results of the discussions we had together last year on the challenges that you are facing. These two initiatives would provide you with additional instruments to deepen your transnational cooperation, on a full voluntary basis.
