On September 23, 2023, Kornelia Boczkowska’s recent book, Lost Highways, Embodied Travels: The Road Movie in American Experimental Film and Video (Brill, 2023), had its world premiere at Other Cinema in San Francisco, CA, which served as her principal West Coast tour stop. Kornelia Boczkowska also curated a special program based on a selection of films discussed in her book and devoted to the memory of Jon Behrens (Interbay Cinema Society).
Other Cinema is a long-running experimental film screening series in San Francisco’s Mission District (at ATA Gallery, 992 Valencia) started by Craig Baldwin in the 1980s.
