LOESS Literacy boost through an Operational Educational Ecosystem of Societal actors and Soil Health is a project involving 20 European partners. Its objective is to identify the most important European institutions for education about the importance of soils and the educational needs in this area among three target groups: school children, students and the public. On this basis, relevant educational modules, including a Soil Atlas, will be prepared in the co-creation process. Moreover, an educational mini-farm/vegetable garden will also be installed in both departments.
The project is funded under the HORIZON-MISS-2022-SOIL-01 (Research and Innovation actions to support the implementation of the Soil health and Food Mission) Topic: HORIZON-MISS-2022-SOIL-01-07.
At AMU, the grant will be carried out by research teams from the Faculty of Human Geography and Planning and the Faculty of Geographical and Geological Sciences, consisting of Prof. Karolina Lewinska, Prof. Ewa Kacprzak, Prof. Cezary Kazmierowski, Prof. Barbara Maćkiewicz, Dr Joanna Morawska, and Dr Eng. Magdalena Szczepanska.
We are looking forward to the results of the project.
