A Polish language course has started at Aristotle University in Thessaloniki. The project is being carried out by the Centre of Polish Language and Culture for International Students of the Adam Mickiewicz University as a part of the "Promotion of the Polish language" program of the National Agency for Academic Exchange. The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Athens is also holding patronage for this event.
This academic year, students of the largest Greek university can learn Polish in three groups: two beginners and one more advanced. The project supports a hybrid method of teaching: classes are conducted largely online, with a monthly break in each semester for the teacher's stay at the partner university and traditional teaching. The changeable form is attractive: communing with the Polish language on a daily basis is sort of a reward for those who are truly motivated. There is no shortage of those in Thessaloniki, which proves that Poland remains an interesting scientific and tourist destination.
The project "Polish language course at the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki" (BJP / PJP / 2021/1/00018) will run until June 2022.
