On 18 September 2024, an honorary doctorate conferral ceremony was held at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University for Prof. Agnieszka Cybal-Michalska, Dean of the AMU Faculty of Educational Studies, Chairperson of the Committee of Pedagogical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, member of the Council for Scientific Excellence, Vice-Chairperson of the Polish Pedagogical Society, Foreign Member of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine.
The supervisor of the dissertation was the Chairman of the Council of Scholars of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Prof. Vitaly Kurylo. The reviewers were Prof. Vasyl Kremen, Dr. h. c. multi, (President of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine), Prof. Olena Karaman (Rector of the university), Prof. Svetlana Sysoyeva (Academician of the NANP of Ukraine).
Prof. Agnieszka Cybal-Michalska highlighted in her speech: "In her speech, prof. Cybal-Michalska emphasised - ‘Today, I feel tremendous emotion, honour, distinction, but also exceptional dignity flowing from the prominence of the Taras Shevchenko National University, which remains the sole, steadfast and consistent leader of Ukrainian science and the idea of a national, sovereign Ukraine."
