Prof. Dziubalska-Kołaczyk became Head of the School of English at Adam Mickiewicz University in 2005, and in 2012 – the Dean of the Faculty of English, which was established thanks to her efforts. She is now Vice-Rector for Research, Head of the School of Languages and Literatures and Head of the Department of Contemporary English Language. She is an outstanding scholar, appreciated in international academic circles, and a member of prestigious associations. Her research interests include phonetics, phonology, and especially Natural Phonology, first and second language acquisition, phonostylistics, Natural Linguistics, phonotactics and morphophonotactics, which she is a co-founder of. Her engagement in teaching is remarkable: 95 students have written their MA theses under her supervision and she has supervised 24 PhD dissertations. Last but not least, Kasia is a great boss, full of inspiration, a sense of humour, charisma and fascination with the world and its diversity – all these traits are reflected in the film.
The idea for the film was conceived by Prof. Marcin Kilarski. The person who gets the credit for recording sessions and editing of the film is Dr. Grzegorz Krynicki, who was supported by Ms. Zuzanna Cal. The interviews were conducted by Prof. Anna Balas, Prof. Marcin Kilarski and Prof. Magdalena Wrembel. The premiere of the film took place on 11 October 2023, during an annual staff meeting at the Faculty of English—we have included photographs from this event in the gallery.
