Professor Dr Roel Vismans from the University of Sheffield visited us on 18-19 April 2023. Professor Vismans came to Poland upon the invitation of the National Alliance of Dutch Studies (OPoN). In addition to Poznań, Prof. Vismans was a guest of Dutch scholars from Wrocław (UWr) and Lublin (KUL).
In Poznań, Prof. Vismans gave three lectures:
- Address and politeness. A theoretical exploration. - was held on Tuesday, 18 April 2023, as part of the Distinguished Professors' Lectures.
- Nederlandse aanspreekvormen (Dutch address forms) - took part on Wednesday, 19 April 2023, the 2 Dutch Studies groups (3BA1 and 2MA) attended the lecture.
- Beleefdheid en onbeleefdheid in het Nederlands (Politeness and rudeness in Dutch) - held on Wednesday 19 April 2023; 5 Dutch studies groups (2BA, 3BA1, 3BA2, 1MA and 2MA) attended the lecture.
