We are honoured to announce that the prestigious journal Advanced Materials (IF = 26.8) has published a publication by our researchers from the Department of Rare Earths: Marcin Runowski, Jan Moszczyński, Przemysław Woźny, Kevin Soler-Carracedo, along with Justyna Barzowska, Sebastian Mahlik (from the University of Gdańsk), Dengfeng Peng (Shenzhen University - China) and Teng Zheng (Hangzhou City University - China), entitled: "Sound, Force and Light Induced Emissions from Er³⁺-Mn²⁺ Doped ZnS/CaZn Heterostructure. "Sound, Force and Light Induced Emissions from Er³⁺-Mn²⁺ Doped ZnS/CaZnOS Heterostructure for Remote Temperature Monitoring via Photo- and Mechanoluminescence".
The article presents innovative multifunctional ZnS/CaZnOS heterostructures doped with Er³⁺ and Mn²⁺ ions, combining mechanoluminescence and luminescence thermometry phenomena. In this way, it is possible to remotely monitor temperature during dynamic processes such as drilling or ultrasonic heating, as well as converting sound into light.
Congratulations to all the authors and research teams!
